Last Sunday,15th January,North shore held a impromptu Hangar open day organized by North Shore Aero club from 9-1pm.
Many hangars were open for viewing to the selective guests and a big thank you first for North Shore aero club for running it and to the aircraft owners for opening their hangars to me to investigate.
There were 2 hangars which hardly see the day of light were Don Subritzky's aircraft collection and the hangar which contains the very very seldom seen Beech 45 and Harvard.
First visit was seeing Don Subritzky,s aircraft which comprised of
G-SWIS Vampire
NZ1332 Aerospeed Oxford
NZ311 Vickers Vincent Type 266 (Painted as K6357)
ZK-AVW Percival Proctor
A potential flyer is a Hawker Hind, and remains of the only left in the world Blackburn Baffin.
Next I had the opportunity to have a look inside one of the older hangars and photograph these two seldom seen aircraft Beech D18S ZK-TEX and Harvard ZK-USM . They both used to be owned by the New Zealand wing of the Confederate Air Force but are now owned by Black Sheep Wing Inc of North Shore. However they have been sitting here for over 20 yrs a believe and not sure what the future holds for both to see the outside light again.!!!!

Pity that the Harvard and the D-18 have been in legal limbo for so long.
