Manawatu/Kapiti Coast airfield tour

I decided to have a visit to airfields in NZ that i haven't seen before .so on the 9th -11th June i embarked on a drive down to Manawatu area and dropped into Taupo,Taihape,Feilding,Kairanga,Palmerston North,Otaki ,Foxpine and finally Paraparaumu Airfields.

Arriving on the Friday ,I joined up with Jordan Elvy and Simon Hills and on the 10th June we headed off for our mini tour with Feilding, Palmerston North and that airstrip at Kairanga

As usual nothing of note at Palmerston North ,so we quickly moved onto my first visit of Kairanga Airstrip where some vintage Ag Aircraft were visible inside the hangar.

Departing Foxpine ,we heard that something had landed into Otaki Airstrip so we had the chance to visit and was pleasantly surprised to see activity ,so after investigation this was what was on show.

NZAWA Gathering at Hamilton Airport

Over the king's birthday public holiday from 2-3rd June,Hamilton hosted the New Zealand Association of Women in Aviation which helps promote women participation in Aviation.

Myself and my colleague Neil williams attend the event at hamilton Airport on a sunny but the occasional showers day and found some niche aircraft which had arrived for the event.It was nice for once for males to be the minority at a flyin event and below is what arrived.
