Bombing at Hastings Aerodrome

Last Saturday ,Hastings Aerodrome held a Taildragger fly-in but unfortunately Mother nature shined on Hawkes Bay but not much else south of Hastings,and with Auckland in lock-down ,no visitors were arriving from up north resulting in a very poor turn out.

 However,the local flying club held a bombing run and spot landing competition and  was lucky enough to take up Bill Henwood,s offer for a bombardier onboard his lovely PA18 Cub ZK-BTC and on 2 bombing runs at 300 ft,we came second.

 Last Saturday Gippsland GA8 VH-PGU arrived into Tauranga from Auckland Int  for a delivery flight to I believe Wellington.

Seen taxiing into Solo Wings

It stayed parked outside solo wings for a few days before departing on 09 Nov for Whitianga and then departing Whitianga and was heading due south late that evening.
