Matamata Fly-in and BBQ visit.

Last Sunday 30th September  myself and Peter 'Rat " Mole attended the Matamata Flying club fly in and BBQ and dispite the good weather ,the turn out was low but we still managed to see some opened hangars with their pray in full view ready to be photographed.

Cessna 182 ZK-JRY visiting from Ardmore

Chipmunk MK22 ZK-SKH /WK511 seen here still in its original ex-Royal navy Training scheme which used to be based at Plymouth /Robrough Airport before moving to RNAS Culdrose ,and then sold and now resides at Matamata.Behind the Chippy is Storch ZK-STO.

Noted in the same hangar as the Chippy is DH82 Tiger Moth ZK-BLM.

Parked up inside the Piakio Gliding hangar was the clubs PA25 Pawnee ZK-CNC.

Arriving from Te Kowhai was Piper PA18 ZK-BQV 

1 of various NZ Aviation Academy fleet of aircraft based at Matamata is DA42 Twin Star ZK-DUM

Arriving from Hamilton is L3 Comms Cessna 172 S ZK-CTZ.

A rare aircraft seen in NZ and based in Matamata is Cvjetkovic CA-65 ZK-FNY so a billy bonus in seeing it taxiing out of its den and parking up outside the clubhouse.



Ardmore based Cessna 182  ZK-TLC arriving with ZK-JRY before departing for Pauanui

Tauranga based Harris Model 3 is ZK-LHC  attending the fly-in


Arriving from Hastings/Bridge Pa was Piper 18 ZK-BPM

And arriving from North Shore is Robin R2006 ZK-TZD.

Matamata based Cessna 172 ZK-JEZ operated with the NZ Aviation Academy
