Bateen Executive Airport hosted the 2016 Expo over the weekend 8-10th March but unfortunately it was massively disrupted by torrential weather with Lightning ,Rain and sever gusts of wind which on Wednesday destroyed a local GA Aircraft when it was blown over into the B737. Thursday was salvageable but many had departed but with the Red Bull Air Race held here over the 11-12th March,all Race aircraft were in view and using Bateen as service airfield.
