Raglan Sands NZSAA weekend fly-in

Raglan Sands Airstrip on the west coast of the Waikato region over the weekend of 7-8th November hosted the Waikato Thames Valley NZ Sport Aircraft association Fly-in on a glorious sunny day with perfect flying conditions and on the Saturday attracted over 100 aircraft at this surfers mad town.

A big thank you to Bruce  Cooke who seen here was the chief organizer for this well run fly-in .Bruce is seen here marshaling visiting aircraft to either side of 23-05 runway.

Tauranga based Cessna 180 ZK-KMK flown in  by Chief Warbirds pilot  Keith Skillen.

Jodel D.11 ZK-EJN from Rotorua

taxing in is DHC-1 Chipmunk ZK-UAS down from Te Kowhai

Recent import to NZ was Kaipara Flats based Glassair Sportsman 2+2 ZK-SPZ

EAA Acro Sport II ZK-CAW arrived with a couple overs up from Stratford

The only Aero Commander 100 in the country is Hastings Pa/Bridge resident ZK-CTU

Zlin Avation Savage ZK-DAG arrived possibly from North Shore.

Ardmore based Piper PA22 Pacer taildragger ZK-PAL

SG Avation Storm 300  ZK-VEE arriving from the pleasant coastal airstrip at Waihi Beach

Stratford arrival was Zenith Zodiac 601 UL ZK-JPX

Tokoroa resident Maule M5-235C ZK-JDT

Another recent import to the NZ register is AutoGyro Cavalon ZK-RDY from the Waikato airstrip at Lee Martin  with Aerosport Avation.

Another welcomed visitor from South island was Europa Classic UL ZK-SBZ which was the last visitor to arrive on Saturday at around  4pm from Rangiora via Omaka and Wanganui .
