RNZAF PC-3 Orion NZ4204 was carrying out night time circuit training approaches into Tauranga this evening doing at least 6 approaches before departing back to Whenuapai.

It wouldn't have been ILS approaches as there is not one installed at the airport. It would have been either NDB or RNAV (GNSS) approaches.
they were doing circuits not approaches
