Rotorua Airport visit

On Monday 6th July,I dropped into Rotorua airport for a quick nose around and as usual not much to view but was pleasantly surprised of Auckland based DHC-1 Beaver float plane  ZK-AMA parked out side Rotorua Aero club building and along to other hangars was resident Cessna U206F  ZK-CBT parked outside.

Interesting visitors into Tauranga

Since Covid-19 level 1 came into play Tauranga has seen a spate of visitors grace our airport during the last few days and here is the crop of the bunch.

Trip to Whakatane Airport

On a quite overcast day,i dropped into Whakatane so see what was around and pictured what  was noted around at the time

Latest Tauranga residents departures.

Catching up during Covid-19 period,a resident update situation here in Tauranga.

Departed this year so far are the following.

ZK-TFP RV-12 has re-located near to the owners home to the nearby Waihi Beach Airstrip back in January

Cubro operated Raytheon  B300 Super King Air ZK-PWL has been sold overseas as N43RS to Rangeflyers in the USA.It departed back in early March

ZK-ELX Pa28 151 Warrior II was operated by Aviation Training 2017 Limited until recently changing hands to a private owner in Christchurch

Sad to see ZK-ELI Pitts A Special upstick to a new owner in Gisbourne back in February

And finally ,Frank Wrights lovely restored Cessna 185 Skywagon ZK-CKT has been sold  to a local down at nearby Whakatane Airport.
