NZ Historic Aircraft Trust Hangar visited.

NZ Historic Aircraft Trust collection re-located to Tauranga over 5 years ago from Ardmore to a purpose built hangar adjacent to the Classic Flyers Cafe and Hangars.

On a chance visit last Sunday ,i was lucky to find a side door opened and asking for permission to enter was accepted,i came across a collection of aircraft that seldom fly around Tauranga so here are the aircraft in mention.

ZK-AKU  De Havilland DH89B  Dominie c/n 6662

I was informed by a member of the Trust that she is booked to attend the forthcoming wings over Waiarapa at Masterton/Hood Airshow.

ZK-BSN De Havilland DH82A Tiger Moth c/n 501

ZK-KTT De Havilland DH 104 Dove 1B c/n 4324

At present ,the Dove is Un-serviceable with wing spar and engine issues however the Trust is confident to have her re-built and possibility of taking up passengers again in the future NZCAA PLEASE ALLOW IT TO HAPPEN.!!!!

There are 3 other aircraft residing in the hangar hiding away.

ZK-WFI Nord 1002 c/n 103

ZK-JTL Cessna A-37B Dragonfly c/n 71-854

Another resident ZK-ENJ/NZ1098 Harvard 3 was away presumably at Ardmore!!!
