N39ED Aero L-39C

As previously mentioned in MRC Aviation blog,Tauranga resident L-39C Albatross N39ED was finally witnessed in her new colour scheme  after months in the hangar in bare metal after arriving from the United States back in January I believe.

ZK-EJV and ZK-DOC

A new resident  arrival  noted to the Tauranga Aero club on the 26th October was this C.152 Aerobat ZK-EJV which arrived from Ohakune and was previously operated by Ruapehu Avaition Ltd.

 Also noted on the same day was a resident that I have never witnessed before, was this immaculate Cessna A.185F ZK-DOC owned by Mrs T P Rowe parked out side her personal hangar at Tauranga.

New Autogyro Calidus ZK-OHF

Pictured out Solo wings hangar on Monday was this newly registered AutoGyro Calidus ZK-OHF which has been registered to new owners from Waiuku and is possibly  temporary based here at Tauranga for pilot familiarization on the type.

Another Rotorua diversion.

Yesterday,6th October ,majority of the weather around the north island was extremely windy with gusts over 90km/h recorded and due to Rotorua,s Airport location adjacent to the lake, Mount Cooks ATR 72-212 ZK-MVC was forced to divert into Tauranga and  after a missed approached ,it managed to land in difficult conditions on the second attempt.

Visitors to Tauranga in September

In for Maintenance from Opokiti is Aspring Aviations Robinson R-22 ZK-HHR and behind is Robinson R-22 ZK-HHJ which resides here at Tauranga 

Masterton/Hood based Hughes 369 ZK-INZ is operated by Amalgamated Helicopters NZ .

Visiting from Matamata is this Piper PA-25 Pawnee ZK-BZA seen outside Solo Wings hangar for routine Maintenance.It is operated by the Piako Gliding Club .

Cessna 172 S ZK-XOX operated by Cherub Aviation and resides at North Shore.

Fairchild  SA227-AC Metro-liner ZK-NSS seen here taxing up 25R en-route back to Auckland International

PA28 Cherokee 161 ZK-MBF still in the old livery scheme form the Massey University School of Aviation arrives from Ardmore.
