Visitors to Tauranga in February

Catching up with Tauranga movements in February,here are a few noted .I have excluded all the visitors from the NZ Flight Champs as they are already covered in a previous post on the blog.

Global 6000 N599CH seen here backtracking on RWY 25 for a departure back to Perth Australia.

Newly registered Cessna 172 ZK-TOR which lives at a farm strip close to Matamata airfield landing on to grass r/wy 25.

North Shore based Yak 52 ZK-DSJ arrived during the flying Comp.

Arrived for a charter flight to Chatham Islands on ZK-CIB.

New Resident noted ZK-SDI Stolp Starduster SA100 UL

C-GVKI Viking 400 Twin Otter

Ardmore received Viking Demonstrator C-GVKI Viking 400  from Wellington last Friday and was expected to remain for the weekend Warbirds Event but alas Virus scare meant the the tourwas to be canned and the aircraft with no suitable hangar to fit it in at Ardmore was forced to depart on the 15th February and depart for Napier.
Lucky for me,i managed to arrive just a sit was preparing to leave.
