Some new arrival residents in July

July saw 4 aircraft arrive at Tauranga as new residents .

The first aircraft is Malcolm Savill,s newly built Classic Aviation CA18 Adventurer ZK-CMR c/n PT001 which has still awaiting its first flight .

Second arrival is Dyn,Aero MCR ULC c/n 244 ZK-ORR which originally was based at Rangiora with Robert Orr before being bought by Ross Dawson on the 25th July.

Third Arrival but as yet has not been seen here is Stoddard -Hamilton Glassair II ZK-MKP c/n 3191 which BOP Marine life trust are now the new owners.Previously it lived in the Coromandel district at Whitianga.

Finally.but hasnt seen light of day at present is Marty Cantlon,s new addition to his hangar fleet of a Stearman and Titan T51 Mustang is NuWaco T-10 ZK-WTW c/n 21.Hopefully ,it wont belong before I catch it outside and take a couple of pictures.

SKYDIVER IN TOWN

This nice Cessna 208B ZK-KPH belonging to NZONE SKYDIVE QUEENSTOWN NZ made a visit to Tauranga today. It's on a mini tiki tour away from the winter snow.

Rescue Helicopter in action

Noted landing at a field adjacent to the Motor-Cross track at the village near Pongakawa on the 3rd July ,was to attend an injured young lad and fly him to Tauranga hospital .Operated by Search and Rescue services Aerospatiale AS350 B2 ZK-HZN operational base at Taupo it serves the Bay of Plenty region for emergency duties.
